MSC Seaside failed a recent inspection by the CDC, meaning that it’s level of cleanliness had dropped below the acceptable level. By using an average of all three websites, which each have hundreds of reviews of MSC ships, I get a much more balanced view of what people really think of the ships. If you book yourself into the MSC Yacht Club, the line's ship-within-a-ship suite experience, you're really in for a treat. MSC shines in the Yacht Club, and MSC Seashore has the largest suite facilities yet, with a complex that includes its own lounge, restaurant and exclusive sun deck with a pool and whirlpool. The design of the ship is contemporary, with a splashy New York theme, a flashy (literally, lights go on all the time) Atrium and MSC's signature Swarovski crystal stairs.
Most MSC restaurants feature globally inspired cuisines, providing passengers with a wide range of dining options. Whether you’re in the mood for Italian, Asian, or American cuisine, you’ll find a restaurant on board that can satisfy your cravings. I've been critical where warranted (IMO), but one thing I will say is that they've held steady or improved in a number of areas where other cruise lines have cut back drastically. I went on a Celebrity cruise last month (and again in 2 days) and the food, while edible and sometimes even very good, was a shadow of what I've had on Celebrity in the past. And the Yacht Club on MSC Seashore is the line's largest so far, for those who want an upscale experience on a vessel with megaship amenities. The ship is vast, and when you are in the main promenade, the Galleria Virtuosa, it's quite possible to forget you are even on a ship. Galleria Virtuosa is lined with shops, bars and restaurants across two decks, and topped with an extraordinary 80-meter-long LED ceiling display, which changes throughout the day. At one end is the triple deck atrium, where you'll find more bars, all connected by a criss-cross set of stairs studded with Swarovski crystal.
Themed parties transform the ship into a lively epicenter of entertainment. The bars, discos, and casinos are always bustling, offering plenty of options for adults to enjoy a night out on the sea. Whether or not you’ll need a COVID vaccine or COVID test while sailing on MSC cruise lines will depend on where you’re going. For cruises leaving from the United States, you don’t need either. She is a good ‘overall’ MSC ship – positive reviews touch on everything, including the service, the food, and the evening entertainment. Speaking of amenities, make sure you understand what you'll get as part of your fare and which extras will come with an additional cost.
